MG Astor Savvy variant with ADAS system is been priced at Rs.15.78 Lakhs

MG had revealed the new Astor in the month of September and had given us all the details about their new SUV. But on 11th October MG has finally launched the SUV from starting price of 9.78 Lakhs going up to 16.78 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

MG said that this price will be valid for only first 5000 units and MG will revise the price later this year. MG has launched the Astor with 2 petrol engines 1.3 L Turbo petrol engine and a 1.5 L Naturally Aspirated engine.  

Astor 1.5L Naturally Aspirated petrol engine specs:

Power: 110hp

Torque: 144Nm

Displacement: 1499cc

Transmission options: 5 speed Manual and 8 step CVT

Astor 1.3L Turbo petrol engine specs:

Power: 140hp

Torque: 220Nm

Displacement: 1299cc

Transmission options: 6 speed Torque converter based Automatic

MG had revealed all features and prices of Astor Style, Super, Smart and Sharp variants but today MG has revealed the details and price of the Savvy variant. It is top variant and fully loaded car. 

MG Astor Savvy variant details:

Savvy variant will be offered only with the automatic transmission options, 1.3L Turbo petrol AT and 1.5L Naturally aspirated CVT. 1.5L NA Savvy with CVT will cost Rs.15.78 Lakhs and 1.3L Turbo petrol AT Savvy will cost Rs.17.38 Lakhs. 

If you opt the 1.5L NA Savvy with Red interior will cost you Rs.15.88 Lakhs. The Savvy variant gets ADAS level 2 features as we know. Features like automatic braking system, blind spot detection, lane keep assists, adaptive cruise control, rear drive assists, intelligent headlight control.  

MG Astor Pricing and Rivals:  

MG has just revealed the SUV and the prices of the car are very attractive and value for money. MG Astor will rival the mid size SUVs like the Creta, Seltos, Kushaq, Taigun and Kicks. MG has planned a proper strategy against its rivals and has given great package and safety tech with the new Astor, Well its very early to judge and have to see how its engine perform against the rivals. 

MG has managed to give a good all rounder this time with the Astor, have to see how the customers will consider this car, it has good features and one of the major highlight is Astor or ZS have secured 5 star rating in ASEAN NCAP, customers who want a safe car will go for it. ADAS is also becoming the trendy between the Car buyers and Astor does that just like the Mahindra XUV 700. One of the major disadvantage Astor has to face is lack of Diesel engine, in this segment only Creta and Seltos offer a Diesel engine and Astor doesn't.
