Toyota has revealed the Fortuner limited edition Commander, gets slight design and mechanical changes. Toyota will sell only 1000 units of this edition. Thailand will be the first market to get Fortuner Commander edition. Toyota may or may not release this edition in India. 

Toyota Fortuner Commander design changes:
Some tweaks have been done on this particular car over the regular Fortuner like upfront the regular Fortuner gets chrome and silver inserts but Commander gets all black grille, bumper and skid plate too get black treatment. 

At the side, Commander gets 20inch wheels instead of 18inch on the regular model. The roof too is blackened for that dual tone appeal.


The the rear only one change has been done, the chrome strip connecting both the tail lights is been blacked out on the Commander variant.



Toyota Fortuner Commander interior changes:


Subtle changes have been done in the interiors too, gets all black leather upholstery with red accents on the dashboard, door pads, center console and more. 

Toyota has added few safety features to the Commander like blind spot monitor, 360 degree camera and rear cross traffic alerts.

Toyota Fortuner Commander mechanical changes:
Commander variant gets only mechanical change i.e. it gets tweaked suspension setup which provides good ride quality and handling according to Toyota. 

Under the hood it gets the same 2.4L Diesel engine that produces 150hp and 500Nm of torque, 2.8L Petrol engine that produces 204hp and 500Nm of torque. In India Toyota is offering only Diesel model which comes with 6 speed Automatic gearbox option. 

Toyota Commander in India?
Toyota has revealed this variant in Thailand for now and they may launch this variant in other countries including India later this year. Toyota is working on Glanza facelift model as Baleno facelift launch is gonna happen anytime soon. What you guys think about the Fortuner Commander limited edition?
