As Indian Premier League is resumed from 19th September, in account of that Tata launched the Safari Gold edition at 21.89 Lakhs (ex-showroom price). Tata is been displaying it in every match held in Dubai, as they are official sponsors of IPL. Tata has made a milestone of rolling out 10,000th Safari and it is one of the highest selling SUV in India.
Safari Gold Edition details:
The Gold edition will be offered in 2 colors, white and black. Exterior changes will carry gold accents and inserts around the headlight, grille and Tata logo. At the side it gets #gold mascot, the door handles get gold treatment, roof rails get gold insert. It gets alloy wheels from persona variant, same 18inch charcoal black alloys. At the rear the Tata logo and Safari emblem is finished in gold.
Interior too gets some changes, the dashboard gets marble treatment, the white car gets white marble and black car gets black marble finish on the dashboard. It gets gold inserts on the AC vents, gold door handles, gold Tata logo, gold accent on the instrument cluster.
Additional features:
Tata adds some more features to the Gold edition, it gets Diamond Quilted genuine Leather seats with #Gold embroidery. Now the Safari not just gets front Ventilated seats, even the middle row seats get that function. Even it gets Air purifier which is completely integrated into Air conditioning system.
Now the Safari also gets a wireless phone charger and the infotainment system get wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay functionality.

The Gold edition is just a new variant with some cosmetic changes and no changes mechanically, The gold edition will be offered with the same 2.0L Diesel engine with a option of manual gearbox or Torque converter based Automatic option. As said before it will be offered with only white and black color option.
For now the additional features are limited to the Gold edition and it is mostly unlikely that the other variants will get them.
Tata says the Gold edition is a vision of Premium-ness and Opulence. With radiant hints of golden trims that redefine luxury, this special edition is equipped with top of the line features, that heighten the sense of Comfort and Indulgence.
