SUZUKI SECONG GENERATION S-CROSS
Suzuki S-Cross Exteriors:
One of the big changes is been done to the exterior of the car, upfront the car gets new grille with honeycomb pattern with chrome strip connecting the Suzuki logo, new tri-beam LED headlights with DRLs, the bonnet is now lifted and now it is flat to make it look much like a SUV. The bumper is well sculpted and the indicators and fog lights are well integrated into the bumper. It continues to offer faux skid plate treatment. Though the dimensions like length, width and wheelbase of the car are similar to the on-sale model, the height is 10mm shorter than current model.
At the side, there is subtle cladding on the sides, the car looks boxier than before, it gets new wheels 17inch dual tone alloys. At the rear too, there are many changes. Wraparound LED tail lights with black strip connecting both the tail lights and Suzuki logo residing on the black strip. Gets new rear bumper with reflectors and faux skid plate and a rear fog well integrated into it.
Suzuki S-Cross Interiors:
The interior too gets new look, lot of features have been added and new design elements have been done. Firstly it gets new dashboard design with 9.0inch floating infotainment system, has new AC vent design, some changes to the power window controls and AC controls. Suzuki has added many features to compete against the rivals, gets ventilated front seats, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, Dual zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, leather seats, 360 degree parking camera and sensors, sliver inserts on the dashboard and much more. Though the steering wheel is same as before. It gets new semi-digital instrument cluster. Suzuki says that the interior design will follow to other upcoming Suzuki models in the future like 2022 Brezza, Baleno 2022.
Suzuki S-Cross powertrain options:
In the Global markets the S-Cross will continue to come with 1.4L BoosterJet engine with 48V Hybrid system, it produces 127hp and 235Nm of Torque. The Hybrid system will help out in providing better fuel efficiency and performance too.
The engine gets 2 transmission options, 6 speed manual and 6 speed Torque converter based Automatic option. In Europe customer can also opt for 4WD system(offered only in top spec version). Suzuki claims that S-Cross can go 0-100kmph under 10seconds i.e. 9.5 seconds to be precise.
If launched in India, it will get the same old 1.5L Naturally Aspirated petrol engine that produces 105hp and 138Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki may also introduce a diesel powertrain, as we know they are planning to make one.
Suzuki S-Cross Safety:
The car is based upon improved C platform and gets some extra driver safety features like, traffic sign recognizer, Autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor, 360 degree parking camera and sensors and much more.
Suzuki S-Cross launch and rivals:
The car is been just revealed this week, it may launch in 2022 in the Global markets, we don't have any news whether it will come to India or not. We think Suzuki should bring this to India, we think Suzuki already know that how current S-Cross is been selling in India, the sale is nowhere close to numbers of Creta, Seltos or even the Skoda Kushaq. The current selling S-Cross doesn't look like a SUV, all see it has a crossover, although other cars too are not proper SUV, but at least the look like one. Maruti Suzuki should bring this to India to survive in the mid size SUV game. As this new model looks promising.
