Being a limited edition, BMW has launched a Black Shadow edition with some cosmetic changes, only 24 unis will be available. BMW had given limited edition Black Shadow of the diesel 2 series Gran Coupe but was not available with petrol model, now BMW has launched the limited edition with petrol too.
BMW 220i Black Shadow edition exterior:
Upfront the car gets blacked out mesh pattern kidney grille, rest all is similar to the normal 220i.
Rest all features are similar to the standard model, it still offers LED headlights, frameless windows, LED tail-lights, Sporty rear Apron and much more.
Black Shadow will be offered only with exterior color option, Alpine White and Black Sapphire.
BMW 220i Black Shadow edition interior:
The BMW Black Shadow gets same interior as regular 220i model, no changes inside. It gets same dashboard color scheme and rest other features are similar like a Panoramic sunroof, Sport front seats, BMW live cockpit, Ambient lighting, M steering wheel, 12.3inch digital instrument cluster, 10inch infotainment system with gesture controls and Park Assists.
BMW 220i/220d Black Shadow Engine and transmission options:
The Diesel powertrain was first one to get Black Shadow edition which is a 2.0L 4 cylinder engine producing 140hp and 400Nm of torque mated with a 8 speed Dual clutch transmission. Now the Petrol engine will be offered with Black Shadow edition, it is 2.0L 4 Cylinder Turbo petrol engine producing 141hp and 280Nm of torque. It is mated with a 7 speed Dual clutch transmission option.
BMW 220i Black Shadow pricing and rivals:
The 220i Black shadow costs Rs 1.2Lakh extra on 220d model, So the cost for 220i is Rs 43.50 Lakhs which is Rs 1.6 Lakh extra on 220i M Sport model. As said only 24 units will be on sale through BMW online portal.
BMW 2 series Gran Coupe has only one rival i.e. Mercedes Benz A Class Limousine which costs Rs 43.19 Lakhs.
