Toyota Camry facelift launched at Rs 41.70 Lakhs

Toyota launched Camry facelift based upon 8th gen Camry today at Rs 41.40 Lakhs(ex-showroom). Changes are very little as it is a facelift. Only some design changes and no change to powertrain. 

What's new in the Camry facelift 2022:

Camry 8th gen was launched back in 2019 and globally had got updated Camry in 2020, which couldn't come to India. This facelift version gets few changes to the design and new features in the interior. Camry will be offered in only 1 trim/variant. 

Upfront the car gets subtle change to the grille, now its slimmer and the Toyota logo is blue insert to represent that it is a hybrid car. Bumper too is redesigned, gets sliver inserts and radiator grille too is big for better air intake. At the side it gets new 18inch dual tone alloy wheels. At the rear there is only one change, taillight are blackened a bit and those taillights are LED.

Coming inside the car, Camry gets a new 9inch floating infotainment system which supports Android Auto and Apple Car-Play. The center AC vents are re-positioned and now they sit below the infotainment system. Camry has black interior and looks sporty enough. 

Camry facelift major features:

Car is loaded with features as Toyota will offer it in only 1 variant, Camry gets LED headlights and taillights, 18inch alloys, sunroof, 9inch infotainment system, 7inch Digital instrument with Analogue dials, JBL audio system, powered and ventilated front seats, paddle shifters, wireless charging pad, soft touch on the dashboard, 3 zone climate control, powered rear sunshades, heads-up display

Toyota Camry facelift color options:

Camry will come with 7 color options, Metallic Stream Grey, Red Mica, Sliver Metallic, Burning Black, Attitude Black, Graphite Metallic and Platinum White Pearl.

Camry engine & transmission:

Mechanically Camry doesn't get any changes, it is powered by a 2.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 214hp and 221Nm of torque with the magnet synchronous electric motor or Hybrid system. The engine is matted with a 6-speed CVT automatic transmission. The Hybrid system also helps Camry to extract better fuel economy of 23.2kmpl of mileage(according to Toyota).

Driver can also drive the Camry in pure EV mode mode.

Camry safety features:

On safety front Camry gets some safety features like VSC, front collision warning, lane keep assists, adaptive cruise control. Camry also gets 9 Airbags too.

Camry price and rivals:

Camry is priced at Rs 41.70 Lakhs(ex-showroom) and Toyota will sell it only in 1 variant. Camry's only rival is Skoda Superb.
