After the launch of Maruti Suzuki 2022 Baleno, Toyota launched their version of Baleno i.e. Glanza this month. Glanza this time gets slightly more tweaks than before. Toyota gave it the same 1.2L Petrol engine this time and it is likely to get a CNG variant soon which will deliver mileage up to 25kmpl.
2022 Glanza exterior:
It is same as Baleno but Toyota has tweaked the grille and it is smaller when compared to Baleno and the bumper is also tweaked which makes it look sharper than the original one. Headlight units too are different on Toyota one's, it gets traditional DRLs when compared to block DRLs on the Baleno.
The Alloys too are different from the Baleno and rest all the looks and features are similar to that of Baleno, here are the exterior features of 2022 Glanza, sporty front bumper with Carbon fibre finish, LED DRLs and fog lamps, LED projector headlamps, chrome door handles, 16inch Alloys wheels, LED taillights, chrome inserts around the window and more.
2022 Glanza color options:
Interiors too is slightly different from the Baleno, instead if 3 tone interior scheme it gets dual tone dashboard scheme. rest all features remain the same like 9.0inch floating infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. The unit also comes with Apple Siri and Google Assistant voice assistant built inside the infotainment system, 360 degree parking camera with multiple view options. 2022 Glanza gets a connected car technology too.
Glanza now gets a flat bottom steering wheel which is a telescopic unit with audio controls and cruise control. Behind the steering wheel is a segment first feature i.e. a heads up display which shows map directions, rpm, gearshift indicator and speed.
With that an auto dimming IRVM, Auto AC, keyless entry with push button start, new AC controls, rear AC vents with USB A and C type charging options, 60:40 spilt rear seat and more.
2022 Engine and Transmission:
New Glanza is powered by 1.2L K12 DualJet 4 cylinder petrol engine which produces 90hp and 113Nm of torque.
The engine is matted with a 5 speed manual and 5 speed AMT gearbox which is replaced with CVT unit. Mileage with 5 speed manual is 22.3kmpl and 22.9 with AT(ARAI claimed figures).
CNG variant is also going to be available later.
